Revised Chocolate Chip Cookies

Linda's Revised Chocolate Chip Cookies

From the kitchen of: Mom

1 c. butter
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp molasses (optional),
2 3/4 c. white flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz. (2 c) chocolate chips (semisweet preferable)
1 c nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs, vanilla, and molasses. Then, beat in flour, soda, bp and salt. Stir in chips and nuts.

Bake 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes (depending on how moist you want them) on greased (Pam spray) cookie sheets with two teaspoons. I like a hint of brown on the edges or they may be too gooey.
